This hugely iconic school proved difficult to paint in terms of its physical size.
My problem was encapsulating the je ne sais quoi of Tonbridge in one painting… But the vignettes allowed me to expand the aspects of the buildings to include the front of the school and also the theatre and tuck shop.
On my research visit I noticed the old red telephone box, strategically located alongside the tuck shop. I imagined the pre-mobile phone era when pupils queued outside waiting their turn to use it to extract even more tuck shop money from their parents!
Placing an Order

For the large size, the size of the print is 13½” x 10½” in a mount of 20” x 16”.
If you opt for a frame this makes the overall size 21” by 17”.
For the small size, the size of the print is 9½” x 6½” in a mount of 16” x 12”.
If you opt for a frame this makes the overall size 17” by 13”.
