Pooh Bridge, Ashdown Forest
£49.00 – £99.00
Pooh Bridge is located in Ashdown Forest close to the village of Hartfield, East Sussex. Take a step back in time to the days of Winnie the Pooh and Tiger too. The famous children’s author of the Winnie the Pooh stories, A.A. Milne, lived in a house in Hartfield.
When his son, Christopher was a child, they would visit the rickety old bridge in Ashdown Forest and played a game they called “Poohsticks”. The bridge became infamous in the tales of Christopher Robin and families now flock to the little bridge to play their own game of Poohsticks.
Poohsticks is considered to be a game of chance yet some players claim skill is involved. Some strategies involve the way in which the stick is held before it is dropped and trying to find the fastest route in the river.
