Cranbrook School (2001 – rear view)
£25.00 – £99.00
This state boarding grammar school in the heart of the Kentish Weald, is lucky to have had the NASA astronaut Dr Piers Sellers as one of its pupils. I was fortunate enough to meet him twice and had a slight swoon as he was rather handsome.
In May 2010, he took my school painting into space under the floor of the space shuttle Atlantis.
It is said to be the first watercolour painting to have gone into space and back. This event was endorsed by NASA and followed eagerly by the BBC News.
See the 2010 painting or the 2001 front view.
