Chiddingfold – The Green

Chiddingfold is a delightful village in Surrey. I came to see some gardens with my partner and we loved The Green and found out they were having their annual festival in June. I therefore painted this picture in readiness and also one of St Mary’s Church.

The Crown Inn is depicted in the vignette and is one of the oldest in England. Apparently monks used to stop off here en route from Winchester to see the shrine of Thomas Becket in Canterbury. St Mary’s Church in the vignette to the left is situated by the village pond.

Placing an Order

For the large size, the size of the print is 13½” x 10½” in a mount of  20” x 16”.
If you opt for a frame this makes the overall size 21” by 17”.
For the small size, the size of the print is 9½” x 6½” in a mount of  16” x 12”.
If you opt for a frame this makes the overall size 17” by 13”.
