Tower Bridge

Caught up in the excitement of the Olympics, I decided I would go to London Bridge and get the feel of what London was like at this special time. Tower Bridge was fantastic lit up in many different colours at night which alternated. Then at 10 p.m. they would draw up the Olympic logo and open up the bridge to let the Thames barges through.

I went past Tower Bridge for a way in order to catch a glimpse of the Gherkin and The Tower of London. There were small statues along the waterside and an Imax and bands playing too. The atmosphere was electric and I just needed to paint this memento. This is obviously a day shot as I felt the night one may not have conveyed the might of Tower Bridge through watercolour.
