House Portraits – how to commission a portrait

For those clients who are outside a 25 mile radius where a personal visit might be more difficult and will be subject to mileage costs please read the comments below on how to photograph your home and submit them to me for a quotation. Further information is also available here.

  1. Decide if you want the front or back of your home.
  2. Take photos slightly from the side rather than straight on.
  3. From your preferred view, take close ups of details including your front door, windows and other detailed features such as statues or unusual chimneys etc. This is essential in order to achieve an accurate representation of your home.
  4. Submit your digital photographs via email to brendabarratt@email.com or post a set of prints to me – which I actually prefer!

On receipt of your photographs, I will then assess them for suitability and contact you. If you wish to proceed you will need to pay a £50 non returnable deposit. This may be paid by cheque (payable to Brenda Barratt please), bank transfer or via my PayPal account.

I will then commence work on your painting and when completed will contact you to arrange the final payment. A painting usually takes me about four weeks.

You can send the final payment to me by cheque (payable to Brenda Barratt please), bank transfer or via my PayPal account. On receipt of payment I will despatch your painting for delivery within five working days.
