Many years I painted the back of the school – gosh it’s terrible compared to what you’ve done! It’s a lovely painting. Thank you – it brings back great memories of a lovely school! My sister will love it.
I was surprised and delighted to see the item on BBC News this morning and have looked at your painting of Caterham School – loved it. We are still enjoying the painting of The Pantiles which you did in 1989 – it is hanging in our study and I am looking at it now.
Just wanted you to know that the print of Woldingham has arrived and it is absolutely beautiful, and I know that Alison will be thrilled.
We met one day in the orchards when you were having a picture sale and I particularly liked the Oast House. Unknown to me my partner Di bought the picture later that day and gave it to me as a Christmas present. I am so very delighted with it and have it in the lounge so I can see it every day.
I told Di that I will cherish it until I die. What a beautiful picture and such a wonderful gift.
I was so delighted today when I collected the painting. We shall treasure it for years to come.
